Pawsitively 4 Pink is a nonprofit organization established in 2018. We provide financial assistance for low-income, underserved women diagnosed with breast cancer in Massachusetts.

After witnessing firsthand her mother’s terminal illness, founder Michelle made it her mission to make sure others in her community didn’t suffer alone. Each grant recipient becomes a part of her P4P family, whom Michelle checks in with personally.

We Provide...

Full Support

We support women before, during, and after breast cancer treatment. We also provide support for the family because breast cancer doesn’t just affect one person, it affects the whole community.

Holistic Options

Not every woman wants to tackle breast cancer the same way. We want to be there for these women no matter how they prefer to be helped. 

Furry Friends

We help train emotional support dogs for underserved women with breast cancer. Dogs are especially helpful during stressful and emotional times, and help reduce stress-induced pain and anxiety.

Why Pawsitively 4 Pink?

Founded in 2018, Pawsitively 4 Pink aims to alleviate  financial obstacles women face on their journey back to health and healing. We are the only organization that continues to help these women up to 6 months after treatment has ended.

Many patients with breast cancer are forced to learn a new way of normal. They enter into aworld of chemotherapy, surgery, radiotherapy, and CAT scans. This new reality is often timesfilled with anxiety, depression, and fear, compounded by the inability to meet one’s ownhuman needs.

It is our mission to help financially support as many women as possible to receive thetraditional and holistic treatment and support options they need. To meet our mission andprovide these services in our community, we rely on the generosity of individuals andbusinesses for support.

Through partnerships and your donations, we provide indirect financial assistance grants forunder-served local women with breast cancer that cover expenses such as rent, utilities,childcare, or various other out-of-pocket costs that can be paid directly by the organization.

We use the word “Paw” in Pawsitively for Pink because we believe dogs can be a huge part of the process. We help train emotional support dogs to help alleviate stress, give extracompanionship, and of course a whole lot of extra love.

Our Philosophy

Positivity

Our name embodies our approach. Breast cancer can be tough – but being surrounded by a supportive and positive community makes all the difference in the journey that comes after being diagnosed and going through treatment or therapy.

Compassion

When a woman gets a P4P grant they recieve so much more than just financial help. They get personal attention from the P4P board; we personally check in on these women, bake them banana bread, visit them and their family, and of course bring the dogs to visit. 

Support

We are the only non-profit in America that supports women who choose either holistic and/or traditional care, and support women up to 6 months after chemo -or more, if they need it.
