Healing Through Companionship.

The Pink Paws Project connects individuals impacted by breast cancer with trained emotional support dogs, creating comfort, stability, and connection during and after treatment. The Pink Paws Project was created to provide emotional support through companionship for individuals impacted by breast cancer. While treatment focuses on physical healing, emotional wellbeing often receives less attention. For many individuals, companionship from a trained emotional support dog can reduce anxiety, improve routine, and create a sense of purpose during recovery.

Why We Created Pink Paws Project

A breast cancer diagnosis doesn’t just impact one person—it impacts everyone connected to her. The mother trying to stay strong for her children. The spouse navigating fear while being the steady one. The daughter watching her hero struggle. The family home that suddenly feels heavy.

The Pink Paws Project was created because healing isn’t individual—it’s collective. We place puppies not only with women in active treatment, but with anyone deeply connected to the breast cancer journey. Because sometimes the caregiver needs comfort. Sometimes the child needs joy. Sometimes the household needs something that feels hopeful again.
