One question at the register. A $39.39 check becomes $40.00, and that $0.61 goes straight to a Massachusetts woman in breast cancer treatment.
No cost to your business, no contract, no complicated setup. You ask; your customer decides; we handle the materials, the script and the tracking. One table gives back pocket change — a month of asking every check can keep a woman in her home while she’s in treatment. Every dollar stays in Massachusetts, and every dollar goes to the rent, groceries, gas and bills that insurance never touches.

Round Up for Pink is a checkout program for Massachusetts restaurants, cafes, bars and retailers. At the end of a meal or a purchase, your customer is invited to round their total up to the nearest dollar. The difference — anywhere from a penny to 99 cents — is donated to Pawsitively 4 Pink.
Almost nobody has $50 to give on the spot. Almost everybody has sixty-one cents.
Those cents are pooled and delivered as direct financial assistance through our Power to Thrive grants, covering the everyday costs that insurance never touches. Your business keeps nothing and pays nothing — you simply pass the round-ups along in one donation at the end of the campaign.
Together, we can keep women in their homes, ease financial stress, restore dignity, give hope, and strengthen our community.
Depending on each woman’s circumstances, assistance may include:
Housing and rent assistance
Mortgage payments
Utility bills
Groceries and basic food needs
Transportation to medical appointments
Emergency living expenses during treatment
Each situation is carefully reviewed so that support is meaningful, practical, and responsive to real needs.
A breast cancer diagnosis doesn’t pause the rent. It doesn’t pause the electric bill, the car payment, or the cost of getting to treatment three towns over. Insurance covers the medicine. It doesn’t cover the life around it.
Round Up for Pink was built on the smallest possible ask — the change already sitting at the bottom of a transaction — and turns it into rent money, grocery money, gas money for a woman who is trying to heal. One check at a time, one register at a time, a community adds up to something a single donor rarely could.
Your business provides the opportunity. Your customers provide the change.
We handle the setup, the materials and the tracking. Your team handles one sentence.
Your staff asks one question at the check or the register. We provide the script and the talking points.
“Would you like to round up your purchase today to help a local woman battling breast cancer?”
Whether it’s $0.23 or $0.92, every penny helps. A $12.77 check becomes $13.00. Nobody is ever asked for more than a dollar.
We’ll work with your point-of-sale system to find the easiest way to capture round-ups — a POS button, a tip-screen prompt, or a simple manual tally.
Submit a single donation at the end of the campaign. One transaction, one receipt — and official partner recognition
Table tents
Customers see it before the check arrives, so the ask is expected rather than a surprise.
The server asks as they present the bill — the most natural moment in the meal.
Bar and counter service
A register sign does the asking when there’s no table service.
On the tablet or tip screen
A round-up prompt alongside the existing tip options. One extra tap.
Retail shops, salons and counter service run the same play — the ask just moves to the register.
Since its founding in 2018, Pawsitively 4 Pink has helped women across Massachusetts hold onto stability during breast cancer treatment.
Months of housing stability provided.
Utility shut-offs prevented.
Across Massachusetts communities.
Paid directly toward rent, utilities, groceries and transportation.
Round-up donations flow into our Power to Thrive grants. This is how that assistance is allocated across the costs that insurance never covers.
A single round-up is almost nothing. Sixty-one cents doesn’t cover a coffee. But a restaurant serving two hundred checks a night, asking every table, gathers something closer to a rent payment by the end of the month — without a single customer being asked to give more than a dollar.
That is the whole idea. The women we serve are not helped by one large gift arriving once. They are helped by a utility bill being paid in the week it is due, by a car being fueled for the drive to chemo, by a landlord being kept whole while treatment runs its course.
Pawsitively 4 Pink helped me stay in my home so I could focus on treatment instead of losing everything I worked for.

Round Up for Pink works for any Massachusetts business that takes payment from customers:
You don’t need a particular POS system, a minimum transaction volume, or a marketing budget. If you can ask a question at checkout, you can run this program.
Tell us about your business and we’ll send your kit and setup plan.
We do the work so you can create the impact. You’ll get your materials, your script and a setup plan sized to your business — and a real person to call if anything needs adjusting mid-campaign.
No. There is no fee to participate and no cost for the materials. The only thing you provide is the ask.
One sentence at the check or register. We provide the script, the talking points and the signage, so nobody has to explain the program from scratch.
Common, and not a problem. We’ll find the simplest workable method for your setup, including a manual tally if that’s easiest.
You collect round-ups through your normal transactions and submit one donation to Pawsitively 4 Pink at the end of the campaign. One payment, one receipt.
Pawsitively 4 Pink is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 83-2579704, and we’ll issue an acknowledgment letter. Check with your accountant on how to treat customer-contributed round-ups on your return.
Yes. October is our headline campaign, but partners can run Round Up for Pink year-round or pick their own window.
Nothing happens. It’s a one-second question with no pressure attached, and most customers appreciate being asked.
